Chkhavery from Chkhaidze Family vineyards.
Chkhaveri is an exclusive grape variety from Guria. Local people used to make a special wine for special guests using this grape. It was widely cultivated throughout Guria region before some fungal infections has come. The hardworking Gurian people, hand in hand with unique climate and the soil, full of grace, created a wonderful masterpiece of the World viticulture - Chkhaveri. It is one of the highest quality grapes, not only in Georgia, but in the whole World. Ripen mainly in the second part of November (mostly in the third decade). Our ancestors used to harvest Chkhaveri even in December. Furthermore, aside from white and pink dry wines, KTW produces naturally semi-sweet pink wine Chkhaveri. This type of wine is produced in Georgia since 1934 and has been awarded in international competitions with Gold, four Silver and bronze medals. Chkhaveri is regarded as one of the eight wines in the World, that are believed to have the highest quality.

Tsolikouri is one of the highest quality grape varieties that is widely spread over the Georgia. Adaptability to the environmental conditions, rich harvest and high quality are all harmoniously combined in it. Mainly, wines with pleasant aroma and taste are made from Tsolikouri, which is characterized by full and harmonious taste enriched with freshness.
Tsolikouri from Tsageri must be mentioned separately, as the bouquet and aroma of this wine is totally different. As famous oenologists say: “Wine made from this grape variety is unique by its special taste and aroma. This wine becomes even more noble with a time.”

Ancient Georgian manuscripts of famous Kings glorify wines from Imereti Region. Imereti is one of the famous regions of Georgia according to varieties of wine and vine. 70% of Imereti is mountainous, and the soil and climate differ in the whole region, therefore aroma and taste of locally produced wine differs within the area. The famous winemaking villages of Imereti Region in XIX century were: Dimi, Obcha, Ckhentaro, Rodinauli, Sviri, Kvaliti, Tskhrackaro and Phuti. According the ancient manuscripts, Imereti was famous for Tsitska from Sviri, Tsolikauri from Obcha and Krakhuna from Kvalituri.

CHINURI WHITE DRY, 2012
Chinuri from Mukhrani.
According to the suggestions of the researchers, the name of Chinuri is related to the word “Chinebuli” that means “excellent”. This grape had different names in different regions of Kartli. This exclusive vine gives a highest quality harvest and that is why Georgian peasant called it “Chinebuli” (excellent one, later formulated as Chinuri). This kind of name variation is quite common in Georgia, that’s why names of the same grape differ in many regions. Due to its strong bouquet, harmonious and well balanced taste with a tint of acidity, very different and exclusive wine is made from Chinuri, an excellent drink in any time of the year.
